Recovery, Challenges VS Momentum
2023 Shanghai Pulp Week back in Spring
As China has totally lifted the COVID travel restrictions and reopens its border to international travelers, the three- year COVID-19 era globally now draws to a close.
The three-year pandemic has brought about a more complex international political and economic situation with persistent geopolitical conflicts, deglobalization and especially decoupling from China. There are many issues to be solved in the post-pandemic era, such as the rising inflation rate, sluggish growth across major economies and frequent fluctuations in supply chains of energy, raw materials, and logistics etc.
However, the Chinese economy is demonstrating its resilience and vitality thanks to multiple factors including the huge demand in domestic market, more active economic policies, a stable development environment as well as a mature, well-managed and large-scale industrial chain, all of which important drivers helping China to recover rapidly in the post-pandemic era.
During the three-year pandemic period, the global pulp and paper production and supply remained basically stable with relative balance in demand and supply. Pulp price remained at a high level, especially in the European and American markets, leading the global market.
During the 2023 Shanghai Pulp Week, we will choose and discuss topics with common concerns in the global industry, for example, in the post-pandemic era, what external environment will the global pulp and paper industry be in? What impacts has the three-year pandemic brought to the pulp and paper industry? What opportunities and challenges will the pulp market face? Will pulp prices remain at a high level? Amidst the global chaos, will China's economy achieve a smooth restart and recover with a stable growth? How to face the rapid increase of China's domestic pulp production? Etc.
We will release the related speech topics, expert & entrepreneur speakers and the detailed agenda of the annual meeting shortly when finalized. Please feel free to contact us for any suggestions on the meeting topics.
